Kovas, is the curator of 64barmusic and describes how the project came about. “I was getting in the habit of writing all my tunes 64 bars in length. Not sure why. But I started rattling them out in an hour and floated the idea on the Ninja Tune Forum that we did a “one hour challenge”. Tunes had to be 64 bars in length and we’d all submit at the same time. No one really went for that but when I suggested doing a track at a predefined tempo, 64 bars long, it seemed to spark people’s imaginations and five or so people signed up within minutes. So then it was born.”

He makes music with: Fruity Loops, Abelton Live, Reason, 1210’s, Korg Kaossilator Pro, Ko1, Kp3, Roland V drums and whatever he can steal from where ever he can find it.
